EDI Production Support Analyst
The EDI Production Support Analyst is responsible for monitoring, supporting, and troubleshooting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions in a production environment. This role ensures timely and accurate exchange of business documents with trading partners, maintains system stability, and resolves EDI-related issues to meet SLA and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor EDI production systems to ensure successful transmission and receipt of EDI transactions
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for EDI failures, data errors, and connectivity issues
- Troubleshoot inbound and outbound EDI transactions (X12 / EDIFACT)
- Analyze EDI logs, error reports, and acknowledgements (997/999, 824, 277CA, etc.)
- Coordinate with trading partners, internal application teams, and vendors to resolve issues
- Perform reprocessing, resubmission, and data correction as needed
- Support onboarding of new trading partners and EDI changes
- Maintain EDI maps, configurations, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOX, and other regulatory standards (as applicable)
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during incidents and outages
- Assist with root cause analysis and implement preventive fixes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in EDI production support
- Hands-on knowledge of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT)
- Experience with EDI tools/platforms (IBM Sterling, OpenText, Cleo, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, etc.)
- Understanding of EDI communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP,
- Ability to read and interpret EDI transaction sets
- Experience working with SLAs, incident management, and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
