Registered Nurse - Medical Telemetry Location Overland Park, Kansas Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 7A - 7P, with a schedule requiring at least every 3rd weekend and 3 shifts per week. Job Description The Medical Telemetry Unit is focused on providing high-quality, safe patient care for a diverse population including renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general med-surg patients. Our team works collaboratively to ensure exemplary documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities Manage patient care on a 25-bed Medical Telemetry unit. Commune with patients daily to enhance their experiences, focusing on nurse explanations and respect. Participate in nurse leader rounds to review patient care quality and safety. Documentation compliance related to central lines, Foley Catheters, C. difficile, and other healthcare-associated infections. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
