What You’ll Do: Provide Hands‑On Care : Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry while fostering independence. Support Mental Health & Behavioral Management : Use your skills to help individuals overcome behavioral challenges through compassionate, person‑centered care. Create a Safe & Welcoming Environment : Maintain a clean, safe space that supports comfort and helps individuals reach personal goals. Mentor & Guide : Provide supervision, positive reinforcement, and guidance to help individuals achieve their aspirations. Qualifications At least 3 years of experience working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors (physical or verbal aggression, property destruction, self‑injury) in a caregiving or direct‑support role. Must be at least 18 years old (some sites require 21 or older). High school diploma or GED. Passion for helping others, with experience in mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, or anxiety. Physical stamina to stay on your feet, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Basic computer skills for tracking progress and documentation. Strong communication: reading, writing, and speaking to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
