Cath Lab Special Procedures Technician

Assists with performing sterile diagnostic and interventional care to patients. Demonstrates basic competency in specialized procedures and equipment. Assists with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures such as PTCA and PCI. Assists with balloon pump and Impella insertion, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Assists with intravascular ultrasound and fractional flow reserve. Assists with vascular procedures including IVC filters and PTA/stenting. Assists with vascular access and maintaining arterial and venous sheaths. Assists with the insertion of a temporary pacemaker. Assists in the care of critically ill patients. Assists with arterial and venous closure devices, including application and removal. Assists with various structural heart procedures. Assists with pacemaker and ICD placement, as well as loop recorder insertion and removal. Assists with electrophysiology procedures, including radiofrequency and cryoablations. Assists with synchronized cardioversion and defibrillation. Maintains sterile technique and performs radiological positioning and cardiac monitor lead placement. Continuously assesses hemodynamic stability using invasive and non-invasive measures. Documents all values, procedural details, and clinical responses precisely. Participates in emergency call coverage with a 30-minute hospital arrival time.
