Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring safe and compassionate patient experiences. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive maternal and neonatal care in a family-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans for labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using basic fetal monitoring techniques.
Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and hospital protocols.
Provide neonatal stabilization and care for high-risk newborns in the nursery.
Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.

Qualifications:

Hold an unencumbered Oregon RN license.
Maintain current Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
Possess AHA ACLS and NRP certifications.
Demonstrate experience in triage, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery.
Have basic fetal monitoring skills and previous neonatal stabilization experience preferred.
