Positive Work Culture Commitment, Justice, Integrity, and Compassion Committees JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS The Recovery Support Technician is responsible for transporting program participants to and from various locations, including court appearances, doctor’s appointments, program activities, treatment, and other services as directed by staff. The technician may also be asked to assist with duties inside the Recovery Community Center, such as event setup or monitoring daily operations. The primary duty is to provide a safe and secure ride for all participants. Minimum qualifications: a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, a clean background check, and a minimum of one year of sobriety. WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE Drive participants to and from meetings, groups, and appointments as needed. Maintain operational control of the facility in the absence of senior staff. Ensure clients’ compliance with Volunteers of America policies and rules. Monitor clients in the van and facility and their behavior. Complete required documentation. Attend training and supervision. Observe and report maintenance needs and safety hazards. Provide transportation for clients. Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervision & PQI Committee.
