Accounting Manager - Bookkeeper | $57,000-$60,000 Salary

We are seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the company's day-to-day accounting responsibilities and financial records. The ideal candidate will have accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction, HVAC, plumbing, or a related industry.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Location: In-office

What You Will Be Doing:

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records for the company
• Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger entries, and reconciliations
• Handle prevailing wage requirements and related accounting responsibilities
• Prepare and process electronic and physical bank deposits, including credit card deposits
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer balances
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and other required regulatory reports accurately and on time
• Record financial activity, reconcile payments and adjustments, and assist with monthly financial statements
• Coordinate payroll processing while ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations within QuickBooks Desktop
• Work directly with the Owner on budgeting, financial planning, and company objectives
• Use QuickBooks Desktop and FieldEdge, our cloud-based CRM, on a daily basis
• Assist with general office responsibilities, including answering incoming phone calls

What We Are Looking for:

• At least 5 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management experience
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong customer service abilities
• Understanding of financial regulations, reporting, and compliance
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, and analytical skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
• Construction, HVAC, plumbing, or similar industry experience preferred
• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
