DSP Direct Support Professional – 40 Hours Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) Regular Salary: $20.49 per hour Mon‑Fri and $21.49 per hour for shifts beginning 11PM Friday to 11PM Sunday. Non‑work time will be paid at the base rate. About the Role: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Residential Counselor is a direct‑care professional whose primary responsibility is to help meet the personal health, safety and welfare of the people living in the group home. Responsibilities Assist and/or supervise individuals in personal care areas such as bathing/toileting. Participate and/or supervise in cleaning, cooking and life skills. Administer and/or assist with medication administration. Communicate effectively with supervisors, co‑workers and the residents. Drive residents to and from day programs, outside or within their community using agency vehicles. Complete daily documentation of services provided. Assist with fun community‑based activities. Experience with ID/DD population is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid (non‑provisional) driver’s license. Physical ability to meet CPR/First Aid and emergency evacuation procedures. Working Hours & Shift Full time – 40 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3PM–11PM). All offers of employment are contingent on successful completion of a criminal background check, references, DMV check, fingerprinting, pre‑employment physical and drug test. All staff must attend a monthly staff meeting – date and time to be determined and announced in advance.
