Behavioral Health RN – 8-Week Travel/Local Contract

KPG Healthcare is seeking experienced Behavioral Health RNs for a full-time 8-week assignment in Sylmar, CA. This is for a night shift 3x12 position. Travelers can earn $2,400 weekly based on 36 hours, while local RNs can earn $2,116 weekly.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute psychiatric setting
• Assess patients' physical, behavioral, and mental health needs
• Monitor changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Provide suicide prevention and safety interventions as appropriate
• Implement therapeutic interventions and support patient stabilization
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and a safe environment for patients and staff
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team

Requirements:

• Active CA RN license
• Recent/current inpatient Behavioral Health experience of at least 1 year
• Med Surg experience
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Associate's degree or higher
