Claims Adjuster - Attorney Represented Injury

Duties & Responsibilities Determines coverage and liability Negotiates with claimants or their attorneys Settles claims and sets reserves Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents Analyzes and interprets medical reports, follows up with no‑fault parties, and manages the claims process to ensure efficient resolution Interviews, collects and documents information from claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police Must‑Have Qualifications Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling OR Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling OR Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance Preferred Skills Auto and/or commercial insurance experience NY Casualty experience Compensation $65,300 - $97,000/year (salary range depends on location and experience) Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance Location Albany, Bohemia, New Hyde Park, and Williamsville, NY Benefits 401(k) with dollar‑for‑dollar company match up to 6% Medical, dental & vision, including free preventative care Wellness & mental health programs Health care flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, & life insurance Paid time off, including volunteer time off Paid & unpaid sick leave where applicable, as well as short & long‑term disability Parental & family leave; military leave & pay Diverse, inclusive & welcoming culture with Employee Resource Groups Career development & tuition assistance Equal Opportunity Employer Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without the need or potential need for current or future sponsorship for employment.
