Regional In-House Counsel

As Regional In‑House Counsel, you will work closely with members of the organization to provide strategic legal guidance to assist with risk‑aware and solution‑oriented decision‑making. This role coordinates with the global legal team across business functions to protect the company’s interests in a fast‑paced, international environment. Fluency in Spanish is required and you will report to the Head of Legal Affairs, Americas. Responsibilities Deliver timely, precise, and commercially oriented legal advice to minimize risks and support business objectives. Oversee compliance with internal policies, relevant laws, and legal requirements for operating in the US and Canada. Draft, review, and negotiate customer and supplier sale and service contracts, IP and software‑focused contracts, and contracts supporting product development, research and development, and marketing teams. Evaluate legal risk factors impacting operations and provide practical guidance for strategic decisions to enable well‑informed business choices. Steer complex legal matters involving multiple internal and external stakeholders toward effective resolution. Manage litigation and assist in supervising and directing outside counsel when necessary. Provide training to internal teams. Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulatory requirements to offer actionable legal recommendations. Qualifications Active member in good standing with a state bar association on the East Coast. Minimum three years of experience in corporate or commercial law, ideally in an international business environment. Track record as in‑house counsel or equivalent advisory function. Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex contracts in both languages. Strong drafting, communication, and negotiation skills. High level of integrity, sound judgment, and analytical thinking. Strong interpersonal and communication skills paired with a service‑oriented mindset. Team‑player capable of handling high‑and time‑sensitive workload in a dynamic environment. Some regional and international travel (10‑15%) required. Experience with Puerto Rican commercial laws is a plus. Identification with core values: Sustainability, Openness, Enjoyment.
