Assistant Service Manager

Porsche White Plains is hiring an Assistant Service Manager with strong dispatching experience to join our team!

We are looking for an experienced automotive professional who can help lead our Service Department, effectively manage technician workflow, and ensure vehicles are repaired accurately, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience, automotive knowledge, and hands-on experience with service dispatching.

• Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager with the daily operations of the Service Department.
• Dispatch and coordinate repair orders based on technician skill level, workload, and shop capacity.
• Plan and control the flow of service work through the department to maximize efficiency.
• Assign work to the appropriate technician and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure technicians follow dealership, manufacturer, and warranty procedures.
• Review completed repair orders and technician documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure technicians complete multi-point vehicle inspection forms.
• Maintain an accurate daily dispatch log and submit it to Service Management at the end of each shift.
• Maintain records of carryover and delayed vehicles.
• Coordinate parts requirements and availability with the Parts Department.
• Monitor repair progress and communicate any delays or concerns to the Service Management team.
• Spot-check completed repairs to help ensure quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with resolving technician workflow and service department issues.
• Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and hazardous waste requirements.
• Support and motivate technicians and service personnel to maintain a productive and professional work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Service Management.

Requirements

• Previous dealership experience is required.
• Automotive service experience is required.
• Previous service dispatching experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in an Assistant Service Manager, Service Advisor, Dispatcher, Shop Foreman, or similar leadership role is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair and dealership service operations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively coordinate technicians, service advisors, and the Parts Department.
• ADP/CDK experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
