Location Tucson, USA – HomeGoods Distribution Center Pay Range $19.00–$22.50 per hour (starting pay range $19.00–$23.35 per hour, actual determined by experience and qualifications) Shift Monday – Thursday, 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM Job Summary As a Transportation Coordinator, you will handle the day‑to‑day execution of the transportation department. You work with internal (DC, Home Office, Store Ops, etc.) and external (carriers, 3PLs) partners to monitor shipments and expedite efficient movement of TJX merchandise, ensuring timely service of deliveries while maintaining operational standards. Duties and Responsibilities Support execution of cross‑dock and store deliveries, ensuring accurate shipping plans and schedules, including transportation optimization, return logistics, and peak season strategies. Consistently deliver operational performance against established KPIs and budget, perform root‑cause analysis, and create action plans to manage performance. Execute against peak season plans and strategies to support the challenging needs of the business. Support Transportation Manager/Supervisor in yard staffing, scheduling, and usage as well as in supporting the building with all inbound and outbound transportation responsibilities. Interact with Field Leadership, Store Operations, Loss Prevention, and transportation providers to ensure overall execution of TJX service standards. Plan and communicate truck capacity requirements and ensure an adequate supply of truck power and trailers. Ensure steady flow of inbound and outbound movements, resulting in timely arrival of merchandise to stores and maximum utilization of lowest‑cost carriers. Provide guidance and/or training to other peer Transportation Coordinators when applicable. Audit Yard Management System for carrier/trailer accuracy. Build in‑depth knowledge of Transportation Management Systems to design, test, and implement new configurations and parameters that drive efficiencies. Gather and maintain TJX Transportation and Logistics master data. Support outbound transportation projects and initiatives as assigned or directed. Create and follow Standard Operating Process (SOP) guides for outbound activities. Perform other post‑duties as required or directed. Provide directions for miscellaneous outbound shipments (e.g., misroutes, IFT). Minimal Requirements At least one year of related experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required. Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of management. Solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Extreme attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Comfortable creating and maintaining spreadsheet formulas/data with Excel. Strong customer service and teamwork skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and forecast trends to support strategic decision‑making. Be on time for work.
