Benefits Starting Hourly Pay: $36.01 with multiple pay increases over your first years of service $2000 sign‑on bonus Opportunities for shift differential & overtime pay Tuition reimbursement & professional development Superior medical coverage starts the 1st of the month following start date Dental, vision, & basic life insurance premiums are free after eligibility period dependent on union representation Generous benefits package including vacation, sick, holiday, & personal leave OPERS retirement – employees contribute 10% of salary; employer matches 14% Key Job Responsibilities Provides professional nursing and/or emergency health care to residents (assess & evaluate resident needs, prepare & administer prescribed medications); performs daily rounds; observes, assesses & records resident condition, progress & response to treatment; responsible for clinical outcomes & specifically quality measures related to clinical pathways; provide immediate medical attention to emergencies (administer first aide &/or CPR); responsible for resident assessments including RN‑specific assessments on admission, re‑admission, quarterly & as needed. Acts as lead worker in charge of day‑to‑day operations of assigned unit or shift; provides work direction to health care staff (RNs, LPNs, Hospital Aides); schedules, assigns & reviews work; delegates personnel based on needs; evaluates staff performance; participates in staff development & education; orients new personnel. Performs related clerical & administrative tasks (charts & records all medications, maintains inventory of controlled drugs, medication & equipment; compiles & completes required reports; supervises records maintenance) & arranges appointments with outside medical providers. Participates on committees (serves as member or leader of problem‑solving teams or groups; attends staff & in‑service meetings). Qualifications Requires current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio as issued by the Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Ohio Revised Code. Employment Conditions Schedule: Full‑time, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Location: Southern Ohio Veteran's Home, Georgetown, Ohio (United States of America‑Ohio‑Brown County‑Georgetown). Union: 1199.
