Act as lead worker in charge of day‑to‑day operations of the assigned unit or shift; provide direction to health‑care staff (RNs, LPNs, hospital aides); schedule, assign, review work, and delegate personnel based on resident needs and staff capabilities; evaluate staff performance; participate in staff development and education; orient new personnel. Perform related clerical and/or administrative tasks, such as charting and recording all medications, maintaining inventory of controlled drugs, medication, and equipment; compile required reports; supervise records maintenance; arrange appointments with outside medical providers. Participate on committees, serve as member or leader of problem‐solving teams or groups, and attend staff and in‑service meetings.
