The new team member will work on software systems for mission systems in all phases of the software development lifecycle, primarily in C/C++. The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team oriented with a focus on team empowerment & shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning and a culture of automation.Roles and Responsibilities:Analyze, develop, and modify existing software, apply modern development techniques that take advantage of all that current technology has to offerIdentify risks, suggest mitigation, track defects, develop resolutions, and report statusDesign, construct, and execute unit tests; build verification test plans, track and report test statusWork alongside multi-disciplined engineering teams to test and verify software products on simulators and actual production hardware in our System Integration LaboratoriesIdentify and assess new technologies prior to implementationActive participation with systems engineering in technical peer, design, architecture, and system reviews to ensure system/software requirements are being met from an end-to-end system point of view“This position is contingent based on obtaining necessary special access security clearance.”Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related STEM Degree and 12 years of related experienceUS CitizenshipMust have a current/active Secret Clearance. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance and Special Program Access for continued employment.Must have 10 years’ experience working in C/C++Must have 10 years’ experience with real-time embedded softwareMust have 10 years’ experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenancePreferred Qualifications:Experience in algorithmic application development and optimizationExperience developing software that interfaces with FGPAsExperience working with RF systemsExperience designing, developing, and integrating embedded software for SWaP constrained systemsExperience developing Radar tracker modesExperience with VxWorks Operating SystemsExperience with Visual StudioExperience with MatlabExperience with Coverity, SonarQube and/or KlocWork toolsExperience in Open Architecture SolutionsExperience with the Atlassian tool set, Kubernetes, Model Based Engineering, and DevSecOps best practicesPrimary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
