Survey CAD Technician

Civil Engineering Design RoleAdvance your civil engineering design career where your work supports impactful land development and infrastructure projects across the Southeast. If you enjoy technical problem-solving, working with advanced design tools, and contributing to collaborative project teams, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a company recognized as a Best Place to Work.What you bring:Associates Degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying - CST Level I or II (Office) certification preferred.3+ years of Surveying experience in preparing survey-related deliverables and project management in Construction, Boundaries, and Topographic Surveys.Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, with Autodesk Civil 3D (v. 2020-2024) and Carlson Software preferred.Proficient in use of Microstation and OpenRoads is a plus.Must have boundary and right of way resolution experience.Knowledge of surveying practices and procedures (Field & Office).Ability to work 700AM - 530PM Mon-Thursday. 700AM - 1130AM Friday with occasional overtime.Ability to read and interpret plats deeds, easements and plans.Must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills required.A valid driver's license is required.Written and verbal communication skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in an environment that may contain venomous snakes and insects such as ticks, red bugs, wasps, bees, hornets, yellow jackets, etc.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Ability to work in a wide range of temperatures.Ability to climb hills and walk long distances.Ability to traverse different types of terrain.Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs.Ability to interact both verbally and writtenWhy Thomas & Hutton?• Competitive salary plus performance bonus • Condensed work schedule for better work-life balance • Top-tier health, dental, vision, and prescription coverage • 401(k), generous PTO, holidays, and tuition assistance • Thomas & Hutton University and hands-on Civil 3D mentoring to advance your careerSchedule: On-site: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.At Thomas & Hutton, our mission of "Building Relationships and Solutions for Success" shapes how we serve our clients, strengthen our communities, and invest in our team.
