Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential communication support as a Sign Language Interpreter during the full 2026-2027 school year. Four skilled interpreters are needed to work onsite within K-12 settings across two beautiful Southern Oregon communities. If you bring expertise in American Sign Language and hold active Oregon certification or licensure, this long-term contract assignment offers the chance to support students’ growth, inclusion, and achievement each day.

Qualifications:

• Current Oregon Sign Language Interpreter certification/licensure required
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) with the ability to interpret in educational settings
• Experience supporting diverse K-12 student caseloads strongly preferred
• Collaborative communication skills and reliability
• Commitment to working onsite for the duration of the school year

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and impartial sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff during school activities, classroom instruction, assemblies, and meetings
• Cultivate an inclusive learning environment for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students across multiple grade levels
• Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and other team members to support individual student needs
• Adapt to a variety of subject areas and schedule changes as needed
• Support student engagement and foster independence in communication
