Equipment Operator (Class B CDL)Denali Water Solutions is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator to support daily operations involving compost, mulch, and topsoil production. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently while assisting with material handling, loading operations, and landfill transportation activities.The ideal candidate will have experience operating front-end wheel loaders and other production equipment in an outdoor industrial environment. This role also requires a valid CDL to operate company vehicles. This equipment operator position will also utilize a commercial vehicle to transport roll-off containers to landfills and dump trucks to transport product to customer locations.This position is safety-sensitive and requires a clear mind and diligence. Employees are responsible for their own safety as well as the safety of others.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSafely inspect, operate, and maintain front-end wheel loaders and other production equipmentOperate screening machines used in compost, mulch, and topsoil productionLoad tractor trailers and other hauling equipment with finished materialsDrive company CDL vehicles to transport trash compactors to landfill locations several times per weekPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipmentMonitor equipment performance and report maintenance or repair needs promptlyMaintain cleanliness of equipment and production areasFollow all DOT, OSHA, company safety policies, and environmental regulationsAssist with site operations, material movement, and production support tasks as neededWork closely with operations and production teams to maintain workflow efficiencyAttend safety meetings, trainings, and operational briefingsMinimum QualificationsValid CDL License required - (Class B)Experience operating front-end wheel loaders requiredAbility to safely operate heavy equipment in an industrial or outdoor environmentAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkClean driving record preferredBasic mechanical aptitude and equipment inspection knowledgeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to safety and operational detailBasic communication and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience operating screening machines or similar processing equipmentExperience in compost, mulch, landfill, construction, recycling, or agricultural operationsKnowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshootingFamiliarity with DOT regulations and equipment safety proceduresPhysical RequirementsAbility to regularly lift, push, pull, or move up to 50–70 poundsFrequent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, and reachingAbility to sit and operate heavy equipment for extended periodsAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to work around dust, odors, mud, noise, and uneven terrainWhat We OfferMission-driven work in a rapidly growing sustainability companyOpportunities for professional growth and learningCollaborative, values-driven team cultureCompetitive salary and benefitsWhy You'll Love Working at Denali- Benefits & PerksAt Denali, the work we do begins and ends with you – our employees.
