Work Environment

The role of PTA is an onsite position within a hospital setting, allowing for close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in executing individualized treatment plans focused on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities tailored to relieve pain and promote physical well-being, ensuring each session is productive and engaging.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, assisting them with home exercise programs to support their ongoing recovery.
• Administer various modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking metrics such as range of motion, strength advancements, and functional improvements.
• Prepare treatment areas, manage equipment and supplies effectively, and ensure a clean and organized environment for therapeutic activities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team—comprising Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists—to optimize patient care and achieve the best outcomes.
• Provide emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a motivating and uplifting atmosphere.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards to maintain patient confidentiality and uphold their rights and privacy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, ensuring you possess a solid educational foundation for this role.
• Valid state certification or license as a Physical Therapist Assistant, demonstrating compliance with legal standards in practice.

Compensation and Benefits
