Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - PRN

Position Overview: This PRN nursing role offers a flexible schedule with multiple tiered pay options based on experience and shifts worked, including shift differentials for nights and weekends. Key Responsibilities Provide independent, routine, and complex patient care, demonstrating clinical competence in similar settings. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process. Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring their effectiveness and side effects. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately. Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers. Delegate and assign tasks to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively. Adhere to professional standards, including ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and demonstrate leadership qualities. Qualifications & Skills BSN preferred; at least 1 year of related nursing experience is preferred. Current RN license in the state or a compact license. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. Completion of onboarding, orientation, and annual competency requirements. Additional Requirements Participation in orientation and precepted training programs. Obtainment of necessary certifications within specified grace periods.
