Accounts Payable SpecialistWoodstock, GA | Full-Time | On-SitePosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for managing the full cycle of AP activity — from invoice entry and GL coding through payment processing and vendor reconciliation. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and comfortable working cross-functional with employees at all levels of the organization as well as with external vendors.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage the AP email inbox and process invoices accurately and on timeReview, interpret, and reconcile invoices; follow up with vendors to resolve discrepanciesCode invoices to the general ledger and process entries for purchases, expense reports, and related activityManage the manual check process including cutting, voiding, and recording checks; update details for cash reportingGenerate Positive Pay and EFT files for bank processingGenerate and interpret AP reports including vendor trial balances and aging reportsSet up new vendors in the ERP system and ensure all required documentation including W-9s is collectedComplete vendor credit applications and maintain accurate vendor recordsScan, file, and maintain organized AP documentation and recordsAssist the AP Manager and Controller with special projects as assignedQualificationsRequiredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel and Word skillsSolid understanding of general ledger accounting including subaccounts, profit centers, and multi-location structuresKnowledge of expense reporting, purchasing processes, fixed assets, and loansFamiliarity with 1099 vendor requirementsExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and ExFlow Data CaptureExperience with Brex or a comparable corporate card platformStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsEffective written and verbal communication skills across all levels of an organizationStrong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferredExperience in the construction or field services industryAssociate's degree in Accounting or a related fieldWhat We OfferComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurancePTO and paid holidays401(k)Competitive compensationOpportunities for career growth and advancement
