Job Details Work in a 31-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with 2:1 patient ratios (sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity/staffing) Four-week scheduling increments with self-scheduling options Minimum requirement of 4 weekend shifts per schedule Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000 Use Meditech documentation system Contract staff may be required to float to medical/surgical units when needed Assist with procedures including insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions Required certifications: ACLS and BLS ICU experience required Active RN license required Unit secretary staffed during day shift with occasional nurse extern working as tech Navy scrubs required (tops and bottoms) Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members Facility This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on critical care excellence.
