Maintenance Technician I

Maintenance TechnicianOur client, a Fortune 500 food manufacturing company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Warrendale, PA facility. This role is responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, machinery, and related facility systems to ensure production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.Contract Duration: Approximately 1,064 hours (contract assignment)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM until production completion (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)Location: Warrendale, PA (on-site)Travel: None requiredKey Responsibilities:Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs on all equipment and machinery per manufacturer recommendationsVisually inspect, test, and evaluate machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions and potential issuesTroubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsPerform building maintenance tasks including plumbing, lighting, lamp/ballast replacement, and minor remodelingCommunicate equipment concerns and repair needs to operations staff and managementFollow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures at all timesRead and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and specification sheetsAdhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety regulationsRequired Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshootingProficiency in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems repairWorking knowledge of LOTO proceduresAbility to read and interpret technical documentationExperience using electrical testing and measuring instrumentsStrong mechanical aptitude with hand tools and power toolsPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a food manufacturing or industrial production environmentExperience with general building maintenance and minor remodeling projectsAbout the Role:This is a contract position with a leading food industry employer, offering the opportunity to apply hands-on technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
