About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support a mission-focused operations team responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial, non-commercial, prime contracts, and subcontracts across multiple business units.


In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, program managers, and contract professionals, providing strategic guidance throughout the contract lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in DoD and Federal contract management, contract negotiations, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


What You'll Do

• Lead contract management activities from proposal development through contract closeout.
• Review and support proposal preparation, pricing strategies, and contract submissions.
• Conduct and lead pre-award and post-award contract negotiations with customers and industry partners.
• Manage contract modifications, amendments, renewals, and closeout activities.
• Provide strategic leadership, mentoring, and guidance to professionals.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex contractual issues and conflict resolution.
• Advise program managers and business leaders on contractual obligations, risks, and compliance requirements.
• Interpret contract terms and conditions and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Partner with program teams to ensure successful contract execution, scope management, and compliance.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable Federal, State, and international regulations.
• Lead negotiations with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) customers and industry partners.
• Support senior leadership with regular briefings and recommendations on key contract matters.
• Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Drive continuous process improvements and contract management best practices.

Minimum Qualifications


Education

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in DoD or Intelligence Community contract management may be considered.

Experience

• 5+ years of directly relevant experience in contract administration and contract management.
• Extensive experience managing DoD and Federal Government prime contracts.
• Experience working across the full contract lifecycle.
• Strong background managing multiple contract types and complex contractual agreements.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Proven contract drafting, negotiation, and contract administration experience.
• Strong understanding of:
• FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation)
• DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement)
• Other Transaction Authority (OTA) Agreements
• U.S. Government acquisition laws and regulations
• Experience with a broad range of contract types:
• Firm Fixed Price (FFP)
• Cost-Reimbursable Contracts
• Commercial and Non-Commercial Agreements
• Production and Development Contracts
• Licensing Agreements
• Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
• Teaming Agreements
• Prime Contracts and Subcontracts
• Ability to evaluate business and technical risks and communicate recommendations to leadership.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• NCMA Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certification.
• Experience with:

• Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
• Direct Commercial Sales (DCS)
• Commercial contracting environments
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, intelligence, or government contracting organizations.
• Demonstrated success managing high-value, multi-year contracts.
