Labor and Delivery Charge Nurse

Seeking an experienced RN with charge nurse expertise for a Labor and Delivery unit. The position involves leading patient care, overseeing staff, and ensuring high standards of safety and clinical excellence in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate labor and delivery patient care, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols.
• Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using advanced fetal monitoring techniques.
• Respond effectively to OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive neonatal and postpartum care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Meditech and CPN systems.
• Supervise and support less experienced staff, promoting a team-focused environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience, including charge or leadership roles.
• Certified in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring.
• Demonstrated competency in obstetric emergency response and fetal assessment.
• Experience with labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care.
• Ability to float within facility and adapt to unit policies and procedures.
