Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for an 8-week travel assignment at a busy LDRP unit. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in labor, postpartum, and neonatal care, with a strong focus on OB emergencies and fetal monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for women in active labor, postpartum, and neonatal units, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Perform assessments, monitor fetal activity, and respond promptly to fetal distress and other obstetric emergencies.
• Assist with labor processes, including inductions, C-sections, and delivery recovery.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate neonatal equipment such as infant warmers and tele-med systems.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech and CPN systems.
• Collaborate with a seasoned team of RNs, providing mentorship and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Possess current BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications.
• Demonstrate expertise in fetal monitoring, labor support, and postpartum recovery.
• Show proficiency in managing OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Be comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
