Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Department

Location

Derby, KS | Freestanding Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced freestanding emergency department setting with an average patient ratio of 3:1 (low acuity up to 5:1; pediatric cases managed via team nursing)
• Perform IV starts and medication administration, including scanning patients and medications with every interaction per unit expectations
• Assist with sedations and pediatric patient care
• Operate Alaris infusion equipment and document accurately within the Meditech EMR system
• Function effectively within a team structure that includes charge nurses, technicians, unit clerks, physicians, and midlevel providers per pod

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and TNCC
• Prior travel nursing experience or experience in a large facility emergency department

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC certification
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Prior travel assignments or experience at facilities larger than 52 beds
