About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of championing merit shop contractors, building pathways into the trades, and delivering real value to the members it serves. The successful candidate will be a visible, values-led leader with a strong operational background, capable of setting and driving the organization's strategic direction. This role requires a steady, hands-on leader who can build and strengthen the company's voice in the community, expand opportunities through workforce development, and ensure the delivery of practical value that members can feel. The CEO will be responsible for leading a member-first strengthening phase, building trust with contractors and partners, and owning financial stewardship to support the organization's growth and influence. Candidates for the CEO position at the company should have executive leadership experience, a track record of change management, and a strong alignment with the member-centric purpose of the organization. The role demands a leader with a mission-driven approach, the ability to set clear expectations, and a commitment to visible, in-person leadership. Strong operational leadership skills, including P&L management experience, and familiarity with the construction industry are essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in working with member-based, nonprofit, or board-governed organizations, and be prepared to operate within the labor and regulatory context of California. While not required, experience in government affairs, coalition-building, and a network within the construction or business community in Northern California are considered advantageous.
