Registered Nurse (RN)- Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services Men's Residence- Full Time- Evenings

SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE UP TO $15,000

The Registered Professional Nurse in CARS is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients, in a fast paced multi-faceted department. These responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide and support 24-hour accountability for quality client care by completing required physical and mental health assessments, including vital signs, risk assessments, withdrawal assessments, and other evaluations in accordance with applicable Part 820 requirements.
• Administer and monitor prescribed medications and treatment regimens in accordance with established clinical standards, including maintaining appropriate control, security, and accountability of medications.
• Monitor client health and behavioral status , identify and report significant changes, triage emergent medical concerns, and coordinate appropriate care with Nursing staff, PAs, NPs, the Medical Director, and external healthcare providers.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation of assessments, medications, treatments, interventions, observations, and other care provided using required systems, forms, and documentation standards.
• Support regulatory compliance and continuous quality improvement by collaborating with Nursing leadership, direct care staff, counselors, clinical leadership, department managers, and Compliance on OASAS/Medicaid requirements and quality assessment, assurance, and performance-improvement activities while providing culturally respectful care.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Associates Degree in Nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS Certification,
• Successful completion of CPI training within 3 months of hire.
• Successful completion of medication competency exam.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Graduate of an Accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.

Location and Travel Requirements:

• Location: Onsite at CARS Residential Campus- 6621 NYS Route 227, Trumansburg, NY 14886
• Shift: Evenings 3pm - 11pm; rotating weekends and holidays
• Less than 25% Travel

Pay Range Disclosure:

• Standard rate of $43.70 - $53.20 per hour
• Sign On Bonus Available: $8,500 - $15,000 based on direct years of RN experience
