Located near Des Plaines, IL, this contract position offers the opportunity to empower elementary and middle school learners, working closely in a nurturing educational environment.

Applicants must have a valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) endorsement to be considered. Candidates with experience or confidence in teaching self-contained programs will feel especially prepared to make a difference, though all who are passionate about special education are encouraged to apply. Class size and caseload will vary, offering a dynamic and engaging day-to-day experience with students who truly benefit from dedicated support.

Key Qualifications:

• Current LBS1 endorsement (required)
• Experience with self-contained programs strongly preferred
• Ability to collaborate with fellow educators, service providers, and families
• Adaptability to serve both elementary and middle school students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction in a self-contained classroom
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Track student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as necessary
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
