Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptionally detail-oriented, analytical, and hands-on Technical Production Assistant . This role is a hybrid of precise technical execution, process documentation, and fulfillment logistics.

You will be responsible for learning intricate customer product lines and building coating systems strictly to technical specifications. Because accuracy is vital to our business model, the ideal candidate must possess a strong math skillset, excel at note-taking, and enjoy building and following step-by-step processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Application & Formulation: Apply specialized products and build multi-layer coating systems strictly according to exact manufacturer and client specifications.
• Mathematical Calculations: Utilize a strong math skillset daily to calculate precise ratios, material quantities, and measurements.
• Process Documentation: Take meticulous, detailed notes on application steps, environment variables, and outcomes to help build and refine standardized operating processes.
• Product Line Mastery: Continuously learn, memorize, and adapt to diverse customer product lines and material requirements.
• Fulfillment & Shipping: Assist up-front with packaging, labeling, and shipping outgoing orders accurately and efficiently.
• Shop Maintenance & Turnaround: Execute daily cleaning and shop organization to maintain a pristine, dust-free environment essential for high-quality product application.

Qualifications & Skills

• Extreme Attention to Detail : A great track record of following multi-step technical instructions without cutting corners.
• Strong Math Skills: Comfortable with fractions, percentages, ratios, and precise measurements.
• Excellent Note-Taking: Ability to document processes clearly, logically, and thoroughly.
• Adaptability & Lifelong Learner: Eager to study, understand, and master complex, evolving client product lines.
• Physical Requirements : Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and perform precise manual product applications.
• Reliability: Dependable transportation to our Batavia location and a strong commitment to consistent attendance. Attendance issues are extremely impactful for small teams like ours.
