Optometric Technician

Key Responsibilities:Greet and prepare patients for examinationsObtain and document patient medical and ocular historiesPerform preliminary tests (visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, autorefractor, visual fields, etc.)Assist the doctor during examinations as neededEducate patients on contact lens use, care, and insertion/removalMaintain and clean exam rooms and equipmentManage patient flow to ensure timely appointmentsSupport front desk duties as needed (scheduling, check-in/out, insurance verification)Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in optometry or healthcare preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer proficiency
