Production Operator

Production Associate | 12-Hour Shifts | $21.73 HRAs a Production Associate, you will be responsible for storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals used in the production process. You will record information such as ingredients, weights, and temperatures, inputting these into the database accurately. Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes, as well as observing all safety and quality regulations, are crucial aspects of this role. You will also assist in planning and improving processes and product quality, working collaboratively with team members to ensure timely completion of the production process.ResponsibilitiesStore, retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals used in the production process.Record and input information such as ingredients, weights, and temperatures into the database.Troubleshoot issues with production equipment and processes.Observe all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations.Follow warehouse safety guidelines and report any accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.Assist in planning and improving processes and product quality.Work with other team members to ensure timely completion of the production process.Perform assembly work as required.Pick parts and products, organize items ordered by customers, and prepare them for shipment.Operate equipment to collect, deliver, and package goods.Essential Skills1+ year of manufacturing experienceAbility to lift up to 30lbs repetitivelyBasic computer skills for logging production numbersSteel Toe BootsAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience with weight or batch mixingLabeling and packaging experienceTow Motor experienceWhy Work Here?Employees are provided with uniforms early on and receive 2 weeks of paid vacation along with full benefits upon becoming full-time. The company values safety and provides a collaborative and supportive work environment.Work EnvironmentThe facility is extremely well kept and well lit, though it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter due to open bay doors. Training occurs on the 1st shift for one month, from 5:30 AM to 6:15 PM (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, your choice). Afterwards, work will be on the 3rd shift from 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM, Sunday night to Friday morning, with a $3 shift differential. Standard hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential 4-day 10-hour shifts during busy seasons. The facility offers two 15-minute paid breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mentor, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
