Sterile Processing Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

5x8 hours, Monday to Friday, from 15:00 to 23:30.

We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician with at least 4 years of experience to ensure the effective and safe processing of surgical instruments and materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume setting, particularly with various surgical cases including orthopedic, urology, and cardiac procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and reprocessing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Process and sterilize surgical instruments in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in sterile processing.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to meet the demands of fast-paced surgical environments.
• Maintain proper documentation and tracking of processed items.
• Participate in routine equipment maintenance and quality assurance tests.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• At least 4 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• National certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM is required.
• Experience working with a variety of surgical instruments and reprocessing equipment.
• BLS certification is preferred but not required.
