Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicants location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:/pulliHealth, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance/lili15 days of PTO your first year, accrual starts day 1/lili9 paid holidays/lili401(k) plan with company contribution and match/liliHSA (Health Savings Account), Ziegler contributes up to $1000 tax-free each year/liliShort-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, FSA EAP/liliPaid Parental Leave Funeral Leave/liliFitness membership discount/liliEducation Assistance/liliSafety Boot Reimbursement, PPE Uniforms provided/liliTool Insurance/liliSafe, clean and friendly work environment/li/ulpResponsibilities:/pulliDispatched to perform scheduled maintenance on electric power generation equipment including gas and diesel engines, generators, transfer switches and switchgear and fire pump engines at the customers location/liliUses a high degree of independent judgment to repair a variety of complex equipment and tools, which involve mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and electrical systems/liliWork safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards/liliResponds to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed/liliWork collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairs/liliDocument work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction; identify and communicate the need for parts for inventory/liliWilling to respond to after hour emergency calls as directed by supervisor/li/ulpQualifications:/pulli2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or high school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience/lili5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical, electrical diesel maintenance/repair, some field experience preferred/liliKnowledge of electricity and electronics, engine diagnostics, failure analysis/liliPrevious experience working on Caterpillar engines a plus but not required/liliPossesses the ability to diagnose all equipment without supervision; is also able to read, follow, understand, and communicate schematics./liliAbility to write and communicate effectively, interact with supervisors, customers and team members/liliBasic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems/liliOwn mechanic tool set/liliAbility to maintain a safe and clean work environment including service truck/liliWilling and able to respond to after-hour emergency calls as directed by the supervisor/liliAble to operate equipment safely/liliMust have and maintain a clean driving record/liliPass a DOT pre-employment drug screen physical due to the role being deemed safety sensitive position/liliDOT Med card or ability to obtain is required/liliClass A CDL or willingness to obtain one within a defined period/li/ulpMinimum Physical Requirements:/pulliPush/pull up to 50 lbs/liliLift/carry up to 60 lbs/liliLift bulky objects/liliStanding, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping able to use bolt box./liliWorking Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor.
