School Occupational Therapist - Vallejo, California

This contract position offers professional development in an engaging setting, with 35 consistent hours each week that will help you hone your expertise while building meaningful relationships with students, families, and faculty.


Desired Qualifications:

• Valid and current OT license for California
• Previous school-based occupational therapy experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and evaluation methods
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Comfort working with diverse student populations, including those with various learning and developmental needs
• Passion for helping children achieve their fullest potential in a school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
• Conduct assessments and re-evaluations to support student access and participation in educational programs
• Develop, implement, and update individualized intervention plans and goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for therapy sessions, progress notes, and records
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate OT strategies into the classroom and home environments
• Participate in IEP meetings as an integral member of each student's support team
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive school climate focused on student growth and well-being
