Senior Accounting Manager – PE-Backed Healthcare Group
A rapidly growing $250M+ private equity-backed healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting. This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for strategic impact, process improvement, and leadership within a multi-location healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the consolidation of financial statements across multiple locations.
- Maintain accounting processes, including purchase accounting, fixed assets, equity, goodwill, and intangibles.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for amortization, depreciation, and SG&A analysis.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Assist with system implementation, particularly fixed asset systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ( CPA or CMA preferred ).
- 4-6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, ophthalmology, or multi-location practice management .
- Strong technical accounting skills with experience in acquisition accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (index match, xlookup, vlookup, sumifs, etc.).
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to present financial information effectively.
