Make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students with mild to moderate disabilities. This contract position offers the opportunity to join a supportive team with paraprofessionals in a vibrant educational setting close to Happy Valley, OR. You’ll work with a diverse caseload of 32 elementary-aged students, some of whom spend most of their school day in specialized classrooms, while others join for targeted special education services.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized instruction tailored to each student’s IEP
• Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and paraprofessionals to ensure cohesive support
• Implementing creative interventions to help students achieve academic and behavioral milestones
• Maintaining clear documentation of progress, goals, and compliance with district and state requirements
• Fostering an inclusive environment that encourages participation and growth
• Communicating effectively with parents, guardians, and team members

Qualifications:

• Current Oregon Teaching Certificate required
• Completed degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience teaching elementary-aged students with mild to moderate disabilities strongly preferred
• Ability to develop and monitor IEPs
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Adaptability and commitment to serving a diverse student population

This contract covers the current school year, working 37.5 hours per week, with potential for renewal. The assignment is within a scenic region of Oregon and is convenient to Eugene, Lowell, and Corvallis.
