Aspire Medical Staffing is in search of a Full-time Audiologist to provide services at Womack Army Medical Center on Ft. Bragg Army Base . Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm

Audiologist Qualifications:

• Must be a US citizen
• Education: Graduate or higher-level graduate degree that included 18 semester hours in the field of audiology with approved clinical practice. The mandatory degree program must have been approved, recognized, or accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) at the time the degree was obtained. Contractor must have successfully completed all the requirements for a graduate or higher-level degree with 18 semester hours in the field of Audiology with approved clinical practice.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be through the American Heart Association. Completion of the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation Course required prior to hiring to enable access to The Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System - Hearing Conservation.
• Board Certification: Must be board certified by, and in good standing with, the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) or American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Licensure/Registration: Shall have and maintain a current, full, active, and unrestricted license practice audiology at the doctoral level in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgen Islands.
• Experience: Has current, professional knowledge of state-of-the-art clinical audiology, including military hearing loss and auditory system injuries and disorders, population health surveillance, and military medicine. Professional knowledge of contemporary electrophysiologic tests of hearing and balance, including otoacoustic emissions testing, auditory brainstem response and video nystagmography. Specialized and advanced knowledge of contemporary treatment procedures and techniques, including pre-fitting assessments and outcome measures. Functional knowledge of state-of-the-art hearing aid evaluation and fitting protocols to include verification and validation techniques.

Audiologist Duties:

• Performs audiology assessment and treatment intervention, exercises clinical judgement, adapt clinical procedures and techniques, and documents in the medical record appropriate information related to patient care.
• Coordinates and performs services to include auditory processing evaluations for TBI injuries and hearing aid services critical to a robust hearing aid program.
• Employs digital and diagnostic equipment to conduct specialized testing.
• Must have knowledge of current guidelines regarding the Army Hearing Standards and audiology scope of practice as defined by the American Academy of Audiology or ASHA.
