Payroll Processing Associate

Job Summary

The Payroll Processing Associate will work with internal payroll systems to process manual check requests and communicate with internal and external contacts to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, analytical ability, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required, with advance notice provided.

Job Duties

• Process manual payroll check requests using internal payroll systems.
• Print, seal, organize, and prepare payroll checks for distribution.
• Work with Time and Labor systems and other internal web-based applications.
• Review payroll data and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Communicate with internal and external contacts regarding payroll-related issues.
• Analyze and understand payroll statements and issue descriptions provided by management.
• Accurately enter and process payroll information.
• Use a 10-key calculator and keyboard efficiently while maintaining high accuracy.
• Support both union and non-union wage plans ; training will be provided.
• Work effectively in a team environment while handling time-sensitive payroll activities.
• Adapt to changing work schedules based on business requirements.
• Work occasional weekends and holidays when required.
• Work overtime as needed based on business demands.

Required Skills

• Payroll administration or payroll processing experience preferred.
• Strong data-entry and data-accuracy skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll information.
• Proficiency with keyboarding and 10-key calculator/data-entry skills .

Training

Training will be provided on the company's internal payroll systems, Time and Labor applications, and other web-based platforms.
