Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR Circulating RN for a hospital surgical department requiring MI licensure and 2+ years of OR circulating experience across multiple specialties.

Details

• Work in the Surgical Department of a hospital with 7 operating room suites
• Cases span all surgical specialties except open-heart surgery, including Ortho, General, GYN, Urology, and Neuro
• Uses Paragon EMR
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Weekend shifts run Saturday and Sunday 0700-1930 and Monday 0900-2130
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• On-call responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Must be able to circulate
• Experience required in Ortho, General, GYN, Urology, and Neuro surgical specialties
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• LARA and Nursys license verification required

• Deliver quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to maintain standards of professional nursing practice
• Follow medical center policy, mission, and standards of practice as defined by professional and regulatory guidelines
• Hospital-provided scrubs for dress code
• Candidates residing within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
• Full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment
