Pharmacy Technician (Non Customer Facing)

This role focuses on accurately filling prescription vials with pills, capsules, and some liquids in a highly automated, noncustomer-facing pharmacy environment. You will work with computer systems and automated equipment to process prescriptions and shipping orders efficiently while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription vials with pills and capsules, ensuring accuracy in drug type, dosage, and quantity.
• Handle some liquid medications and ensure they are filled and labeled according to prescription requirements.
• Use computer systems to read and interpret prescription information and verify medication details.
• Scan vials and labels to confirm correct patient, drug, and dosage information prior to final processing.
• Replenish automated fill machines with the appropriate drugs to support continuous, efficient production.
• Process shipping orders to ensure completed prescriptions are packaged and prepared for timely delivery.
• Meet established line quotas, working efficiently on lines that may range from approximately 100150 vials per hour to faster lines at around 365 vials per hour.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a highly automated pharmacy or fulfillment environment.
• Familiarity with automated fill machines and replenishing medications in automated systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays, with a rotating weekday off as scheduled.
• Interest in overtime opportunities, with overtime rarely denied for those who want it.

Work Environment

This position is based in a fast-paced, automated fill pharmacy environment that is highly automated and noncustomer-facing. Two shifts are available. The first shift typically runs Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The second shift typically runs Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Mondays are usually the busiest day and often run about 10.5 hours, while other days average around 8.5 hours with a 30-minute lunch. The facility is climate controlled, providing a comfortable indoor work setting. The dress code is casual, and team members may listen to headphones during their shift where appropriate and safe. The work environment emphasizes efficiency and accuracy, with line quotas in place, and offers two paid 15-minute breaks. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.95 - $18.95/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
