The role emphasizes building reusable UI components with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS, integrating with backend APIs, and collaborating with senior engineers to deliver high-quality features. Foundational backend exposure to Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and database querying is preferred but not primary.Responsibilities:Develop, debug, and maintain front-end features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS.Create and maintain reusable, scalable UI components and patterns.Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly experiences using UI/UX best practices.Collaborate with senior engineers to refine requirements, designs, and implementation approaches.Integrate front-end components with backend services, REST APIs, and data sources.Follow agile practices including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and code reviews.Communicate progress, blockers, risks, and questions in a timely manner.Contribute ideas that improve user experience, engineering efficiency, automation, testing, and delivery quality.Use approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, troubleshooting, test creation, documentation, and productivity.Review and validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, maintainability, performance, and alignment with standards.Follow responsible AI usage practices and handle data and prompts securely.Required Skills & Qualifications:Minimum 2+ years of hands-on software development experience in enterprise settings.Proficiency in front-end development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS.Experience building component-based UIs and modern web application patterns.Ability to deliver assigned tasks with guidance from senior engineers or team leads.Working knowledge of a modern programming language and database querying languages such as SQL.Basic understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility considerations.Understanding of agile methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD concepts and practices.Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset and openness to feedback and code reviews.Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.Preferred Skills:Backend exposure: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.Database querying with SQL.Integration of front-end applications with backend APIs and services.Automated testing frameworks for front-end or full stack applications.React ecosystem tools such as Redux, Context API, Next.js.Exposure to cloud technologies and AI/ML concepts or AI-enabled engineering practices.Experience in large enterprise or financial services environments.Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design best practices.Why BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
