_*Associate Small Animal Veterinarian *_

Thompson Animal Medical Center is seeking a Full-time Small Animal Associate to join the team at our 3.5 Veterinarian, AAHA accredited practice in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Thompson Animal Medical Center is a locally owned, independent practice. We are a well-equipped, progressive practice that focuses on excellent client communication and compassionate care. Veterinarians at this practice are afforded the opportunity to practice quality medicine on multiple companion animal species, with our primary patients being canine and feline. Our veterinarians see an average 11-14 patients a day in 40 minute appointment slots. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, does well with time management, communicates well with clients, and is someone who is capable of working within a team of equally dedicated support staff. La Crosse is situated on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River in the drift-less region of Wisconsin. The surrounding area; with its rivers, lakes, and scenic bluffs provides many opportunities for outdoor recreation.

*Responsibilities*

* Provide comprehensive veterinary care to animals, including diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries.
* Perform routine examinations and vaccinations, ensuring the health and well-being of pets.
* Direct the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed, utilizing aseptic techniques when necessary.
* Direct staff on the handling and restraint of patients safely during procedures, ensuring minimal stress for the animals.
* Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with pet owners about care plans and preventive measures.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
