About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Lafayette, Indiana, 47905!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in relevant nursing areas License: Must have an active nursing license prior to the start date Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required Must-Have: Telemetry and IV Start experience; previous charge experience preferred; experience with dysrhythmias management Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specialized in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing. The position requires providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:6. Major patient conditions include COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, chest pain, and small bowel obstruction. The role includes care for a small number of post-surgical patients per day. Nurses are expected to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Starting and maintaining IVs is a critical responsibility for this position. Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend. Float requirements are applicable, with nurses floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. The nursing team is supported by various interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
