Contract | 26-Week Assignment | Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care in a stepdown/PCU unit serving a diverse patient population including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, renal, and complex medical-surgical patients
• Manage cardiac patients including those with CHF, MI, ACS, cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers, and post-procedural cardiac cases
• Care for respiratory patients including those requiring high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, tracheostomy management, and chronic home ventilator support
• Collaborate within a Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model alongside a Virtual RN and CNA, maintaining a bedside RN-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Float to lower acuity units, renal care, neuro, and medical-surgical units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
• Participate in weekend coverage as determined by staffing needs, including working 3 of 5 designated holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license in hand (pending license accepted for submission; must be in hand prior to offer finalization)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, stepdown, or IMC nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted at standard rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-cardiac procedure patients (TAVR, MVR, Angiovac) and patients on drug-load protocols
• Familiarity with virtual nursing or co-care models
• Prior experience in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma facility
