OPERATIONS CONTROLLER

Pay Grade 14 Salary $105,000 - $115,000 Job Summary At Bon Appetit Management Company we are committed to great food and outstanding service. As Operations Controller for one of our national clients, the successful candidate should possess savvy business skills and a proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with various team members. Key Responsibilities Serve as the single point of contact for the client finance team on all financial matters across the enterprise Consolidate and present enterprise‑level financial reporting across multiple markets in preparation for QBRs and regular client reviews Partner with site unit controllers at each location to ensure accurate monthly closes and timely submission of financial data Support QBR financial preparation and validation, ensuring financial reporting aligns with client finance expectations Responsible for all cash handling procedures Perform reconciliation and analysis for several balance sheet accounts Analyze financial results for both internal and external use Track and maintain monthly P/L and balance sheet activity Develop forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities Review of general ledger and balance sheet Resolve various accounting and reconciliation issues Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting, and report distribution Maintain inventory and cost control procedures Perform related duties and special projects as assigned Preferred Qualifications Multi‑site or enterprise‑level financial reporting experience strongly preferred Demonstrated experience in client‑facing financial communication Familiarity with contract food service billing structures, management fee calculations, and T&B rate frameworks Experience working within or alongside union labor environments a plus Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience with revenue control, financial reporting, and cash handling responsibilities, at least 3 years in a similar capacity Accounting experience in foodservice or retail industry required; foodservice operations experience a plus Experience with revenue/cost analysis and reporting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Skilled at managing multiple priorities and relationships Proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in Excel; POS experience a plus Strong analytical and organizational skills Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance/ AD Disability Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state) Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Programs Discount Marketplace Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance Commuter Benefits Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Paid Parental Leave Personal Leave Applications accepted on an ongoing basis.
