Financial Analyst (HHS - Accounting Services)

Salary Range $30.32 - $42.11 Work Assignment Details Waukesha County's Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting for a talented Financial Analyst. This position is part of the Accounting Services unit within the Waukesha County, Department of Health and Human Services, Administrative Services Division. The unit provides accounting, budget, and other fiscal and administrative services to all program divisions and units within the Department. The position reports to the Clinical Division Senior Financial Analyst. With guidance and direction from the Clinical Division Senior Financial Analyst, this role provides financial and analytical support to Waukesha County, Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Clinical Services, and Division of Administrative Services. The analyst collaborates with division staff, supervisors and managers as needed to complete work assignments. Responsibilities Review AP and AR processes. Perform monthly accounting processes. Prepare state/federal cost reporting. Generate management and operating reports. Develop the annual budget. Monitor monthly and quarterly budget performance. Prepare and respond to audits. Resolve fiscal issues as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, finance, or a closely related field. OR High School Diploma or GED, and a combination of recognized post‑high‑school education and progressively responsible work experience in finance, accounting, or a closely related field, totaling four (4) years. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and functions. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and meet deadlines.
