Experience Requirements Previous Human Resources experience required Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration preferred Knowledge of employment laws, EEO compliance, and hiring practices Experience working with HRIS systems and payroll processes Job Duties Coordinate recruitment activities for various staff and temporary positions Create job postings and advertising strategies Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process Process new hire paperwork and employment documentation Verify qualifications, conduct reference checks, and support background screening processes Maintain employee records and HRIS data accurately Assist with payroll-related employment transactions and salary changes Support onboarding and employee training programs Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations Provide administrative support for HR projects and employee programs Assist with faculty equivalency review processes when needed Preferred Qualifications Previous human resources, recruiting, office administration, payroll, or employee relations experience is preferred. Experience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, onboarding, or benefits administration is beneficial. Knowledge of employment practices, workplace policies, compliance, or personnel administration is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate professionalism, discretion, communication skills, and strong organizational ability are well positioned for success as an HR Generalist. Physical Capabilities Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to communicate professionally in person, by phone, email, and video conferencing. Ability to occasionally lift office materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to perform normal office duties while maintaining productivity throughout the workday.
